I spent about an hour on the phone last week with Walt trying to convince him to go to Chicago with us this weekend for my bday, talking A&T vs NCCU and him telling me how he was tired and had been working so hard. He travelled a ton for work. When I was in TN and traveling for work too we would talk on the phone on the road and in between appointments. He was a super intelligent and just a damn good dude.

Last week He told me that he looked up one day and his twins were in high school.

He shared how he wanted to take time and spend more time focused on them and his wife.

We got off the phone talking more Aggie vs Eagle junk and even looked forward to Dallas and Pittsburg trash talking this season.

We planned to catch up at the game this past weekend and He said he would probably go to Chicago with us.

Saturday I got the call that he had passed in a car accident.
