We work with the following homes:
❖ Amor Y Vida (35 children)
❖ Hogar Enmanuel (80 children)
❖ Yo Quiero Ser (40 children)
❖ Proniño (30 children)
❖ Crecer (15 children)
❖ La Promesa (50 children)

That means we serve about 250 children with:
❖ Food
❖ Shelter
❖ Clean water
❖ Basic necessities (like feminine hygiene products)
❖ Emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs are met by caring for their caretakers

Years ago during a meeting with an orphanage director in Honduras we learned that the children in all grade levels were struggling at school and the caretakers were finding it difficult to keep up with each of their individual learning needs.

With the partnership of donors that are passionate about education, ROOM started providing tutoring to the children at this orphanage through a dedicated staff member at the orphanage to help the kids that were struggling in school.

From one quarter to the next the children’s grades dramatically improved!

All children were achieving honor roll by the end of the school year! And they continue to do so today thanks to ROOM’s tutoring program!

It takes about $250 to provide a part-time tutor at an orphanage for one month.

That’s about $3,000 for one year of tutoring for an orphanage.
