Teammate Darren Fuller participated in his 23rd "bike day" at a pre-school in Cornelius NC this week with a few friends from the Cyclepath Bike Shop. They did a safety talk, helmet fit and bike course practice. What a way to get kids on bikes, have fun doing so and teaching safety while being taught by a true bike racer. Thanks Darren (and Mark and Kevin) for giving back to your community and teaching future cyclists. Cheers gentlemen!

Happy Mother's Day from some of our Mom's to you and yours.

Lori, Lisa and Samantha are spending their Mother's Day on bikes participating in the Bike2DC charity event honoring fallen law enforcement officers by riding from Charlotte to Washington DC over 5 days.

Thank you ladies for giving up your day with your family to honor others. That is what Mom's do.

Here is a little treat from the archives. Teammate Chris Harkey set a World Record in April 2001 for the most miles in 12 hours at the Lowe's Motor Speedway. He rode 276 miles. This was 25 years ago when he was 29. His record has since been beaten on a velodrome, which is easier because you have more protection from the wind.

Chris is a legend in these parts and has a heart of gold. Chris was racing for DeFeet-Lemond cycling team at the time. Chris also holds 2 masters National Championships and 17 State Championships, all either on the road or time trial. He was also awarded The State Games of North Carolina Athlete of the Year in 2003.

He and his family reside in Mt. Pleasant NC. Chris loves to teach, coach and mentor other cyclists to help them be their best self on the bike. Although a very accomplished racer he is an even better husband, father, neighbor and friend.
