An adjusting market is a great opportunity for buyers to get in the game, but before you play, make sure you position yourself in the best possible way to win 🥇
The amount of debt you have compared to your income is a major factor in what type of home loan you qualify for.
The Snowball Method is a great way to quickly pay down your debts to lower your Debt-to-Income ratio and help get you qualified for the best possible loan for you!
1️⃣ Stop accumulating bad debt!
2️⃣ List our all your debt
3️⃣ Make 3 columns beside each debt (Amt. Owed, Min. Amy. Due, and # of Months)
4️⃣ Rank debts in order of # of Months
5️⃣ Adjust and/or budget to come up with any extra funds (ideally $150-$200)
6️⃣ Pay Min. Amt. Due on all debts each month
7️⃣ For debt #1, pay additional $150-$200 (or whatever extra you have) to the Min. Amt. Due each month until the debt is fully paid
8️⃣ Add that total monthly payment (Min. Amt. Due + $150) you made to debt #1 to the Min. Amt. Due for debt #2 until the debt is fully paid
9️⃣ Continue adding the total monthly payment of the previous debt to the new debts Min. Amt. Due until all debts are paid off
If you are wondering how to come up with the the extra $150-$200/month, think about what you could adjust in your daily life to help you reach that goal… $150-$200 is roughly $7/day which is around the cost of a drink at !
