We are horrified and heartbroken at the rhetoric coming from the highest levels of our nation’s government today. There is no justification for threats of extermination against a whole nation of people. We maintain, as we always have, that we have more in common with the ordinary people the bombs fall on than we ever will with the people in power who give the order to fire. Opposing mass slaughter is the very lowest bar that can possibly be set for a human being. Let us be clear, this is what sin looks like. This is what evil looks like. Cruelty to your fellow human being is a rejection of divine love. It is not normal and must not be normalized.

FIVE packages delivered today for the supply bag program! Thank you all so much! Next batch of bags is hitting the streets Tuesday and will be very much appreciated by the people who need them. And please remember when you talk about programs like ours that this isn’t the end goal. The goal is a world where these programs aren’t needed, because there are more than enough resources to house everyone, if profit didn’t stand in the way. What we’re giving is a stopgap measure to keep people from dying until we get there.

Sending out over a dozen of these “keep warm” bags today! The bags contain a pair of socks, a pair of gloves, a set of hand warmers, and an emergency blanket, to help stave off the damp cold we’re dealing with this week.
Big thanks to the Coalition for Cultural Compassion for their generous donation of socks—there’s always such a need for those, and we’re super grateful for the opportunity to meet it.
