If you want the rainbow, you’ve got to put up with the rain.

It’s been a rainy week here in Charlotte, and I’ve heard a lot of people, myself included complaining about the gloomy skies. But sitting with it this morning, I was reminded of a season in my life where it felt like it rained every single day… and not just outside.

I was broken.
I was broke.
I was stuck in relationships that didn’t serve me.
I was falling short of the woman I knew I could be.

But looking back now, I realize I needed that season. I couldn’t have arrived at where I am today without walking through every storm, every setback, and every teardrop.

Is life perfect now? No way.
But I’ve learned rain is part of the process.
There’s no rainbow without it. No growth without it. No becoming without it.

So today, instead of resenting the rain outside or in life I will continue to sit in it, knowing it’s part of something bigger. Something more beautiful.

If you’re in a rainy season, hold on.
The rainbow is coming. 🌈

Grace + Growth

Boundaries are powerful, and necessary. They protect our peace, guide our values, and help us move forward with clarity.

But sometimes, in the process of protecting ourselves, we forget to offer others what we hope to receive: GRACE!!!

It’s easy to spot someone else’s shortcomings. It’s harder to admit when we’ve been holding on to hurt too long, telling ourselves a story based on what we “heard” rather than what we’ve experienced first hand.

The truth? We don’t always know what someone else is carrying. People grow. They mess up. They change.
Some of the best healing happens when we lean in and give someone a new opportunity! Not a pass, but a chance.

Set your boundaries. Pay attention when someone shows you who they are. But don’t let old narratives stop new beginnings.

Let’s stop writing people off because of “what she used to be” and start building our own stories based on presence, not gossip.

Grace and boundaries can exist in the same space. And so can healing!
