It was a great weekend at EdgeFest 2026! My gratitude to and for facilitating this fun event!
Didn’t expect it to be so hot, but I managed to finish my panel.
I was utterly impressed by the talent of all the artists that participated this year.

Resistance is not a moment — it’s a movement.

Resist.II is the second iteration of our resistance-themed exhibition, first presented in 2018. This year, artists were invited to respond to urgent issues shaping our world: free speech, equity, immigration, human rights, policing, voting rights, LGBTQ+ safety, and the social challenges that define this moment.

The result is a powerful and diverse collection of work spanning multiple mediums — each artist offering their own interpretation of what it means to resist, to protect, to demand, and to imagine something better., an exhibition of resistance themed art.

Join us for the opening reception during VAPA Center’s monthly Open Studios. Featuring visual art and poetry by 30+ artists and poets. Exhibition on view through April 2026.

Come witness. Come reflect. Come resist.

strong because of its diversity and community.

Together we are stronger and I plea to all of you who are able and willing to stand for what is right and resist the atrocities that the federal government is committing against our people.

It’s easy to fall into a hateful and divisive mentality in the face of fear. Instead, let’s unite in kindness and protect those who need us today.

If you can please:
👉🏽Attend peaceful protests
👉🏽Donate to groups that assist immigrants
👉🏽Keep 🧊 watch for your neighbors
👉🏽Volunteer to get groceries or other necessities to those who are not able to leave their homes
👉🏽Support local immigrant businesses affected by this 🧊 invasion
👉🏽Spread awareness of the situation with verified sources
👉🏽Avoid using fear or sensationalism just for clicks. This is a serious matter and accurate information is important.
👉🏽if you’re an artist, Create art to inspire hope.
👉🏽Remember that not everyone is able to physically partake in protest due to health/transportation/other situations, so let’s not undermine the impact that simple acts of kindness, or simply reposting/advocating can also have in this fight.
👉🏽Don’t lose hope!!

We are in this together and staying in community can help raise the vibrations to shift the narrative.
