After leaving my professional ballet career, I spent many years helping women repair their relationships with their bodies and food.
I was highly skilled at it, but over time, I grew tired of the work when I saw how often women were still reinforcing diet culture...
..continuing to make their body the enemy, focusing on weight loss and “good vs. bad” foods, rather than being supported into deeper healing.
Through years of studying and holding space for this work, I saw something again and again:
A woman’s relationship to her body is the foundation for her relationship to life.
So when a woman tells me she feels disconnected from her body, especially from desire, pleasure, or her creative life force, I don’t reinforce the belief that something is wrong.
I get curious about her relationship with her body...
.the multidimensional, long-term relationship with the one partnership that is truly until death do us part.
Consumer messaging offers “solutions,” libido hacks, and quick fixes, but quite frankly, these often create more guilt, shame, and action items on an already overfilled to-do list.
Here’s what we’re not talking about enough:
Desire doesn’t disappear because something is wrong with you.
When your body doesn’t feel safe, resourced, or cared for, desire slowly goes offline...
..because intimacy, in all its forms, is no longer the priority.
Survival is.
And while many women are objectively safer than ever...
..their nervous systems still live as if they’re under constant threat, burdened by the responsibilities & mental load of modern life.
Adding more to a woman’s plate rarely solves anything...
..because the female nervous system actually downregulates in the presence of pleasure, beauty, and deep nourishment.
Instead of adding more, I often invite women into simple practices of ritual: working with healing plants, herbal medicines, & body-and-soul nourishment that require very little effort.
This is the foundation behind Sacral Flame, an immersive breathwork & somatic herbalism experience designed to help you gently tend your inner fire & restore your vitality, pleasure, & creativity.

When the body feels safe…
…something ancient softens.
There’s an exhale you didn’t realize you were holding, warmth flickering where things have felt numb.
Your sacral center, your inner flame, is the home of desire, sensuality, creativity, emotional truth, and your capacity to receive and be nourished.
When it dims, it’s rarely because “something’s wrong with you”.
It dims because your body has been protecting you…
…from betrayal, chronic over-giving, exhaustion, and years of holding everything together.
Of course your desire quieted, pleasure felt distant, and your creative current slowed.
The body’s protective mechanisms will always come before openness.
In Sacral Flame, we’re not force anything to open.
We’re creating the conditions for safety & healing to arise.
With Breath. Ritual. Healing plants. Skillfully held, intentional space.
Not to push you past your edges…
…but to let your body unwind at her own pace.
We’re not “fixing” anything broken.
We’re tending to the part of you that holds life itself.
So that all that’s been guarded can start to soften. What has cooled can warm. What has armored can remember what openness feels like.
We gather so soon (on February 25).
You truly don’t want to miss this unique healing experience in shared space with other brilliant women.
You know where to find the details. ❤️
