Our team recently took a trip to visit our friends at on Wadmalaw Island. We spent the afternoon picking strawberries and walking the fields with Pete Ambrose, who has been farming this land since 1976. It’s one of our longest-standing purveyor relationships—through the seasons, we’ve sourced everything from arugula and carrots to peas, berries, herbs, and tomatoes from the farm.

Soft shell season is the most fleeting of seasons. We wait till the last minute for the best local crabs and prefer them gently sautéed to accentuate their delicate texture.
