Since 1960, the Dolphin Scholarship Foundation has awarded scholarships that ease the financial burden of higher education, empowering over 100 scholars annually to pursue their academic and professional aspirations. Their dedication to submarine families reflects the same commitment to service and community that has guided ORBIS for 25 years.

Earlier this year, ORBIS took a significant step toward the future by acquiring Canopy Design Lab, a distinguished Charleston-based research and engineering design firm renowned for its expertise in product development, embedded systems, and AI/ML applications.

This strategic acquisition combines Canopy's proven innovation capabilities with ORBIS' extensive customer network and established R&D infrastructure, substantially expanding our innovation and development capabilities while accelerating our work in AI-enhanced hardware/software integration, intelligent rapid prototyping, and smart test and measurement systems that leverage real-time data analytics.

The integration brings exceptional talent to ORBIS, including Canopy's visionary founders and engineers, with Dr. Michael Wieckowski now serving as our Chief Technology Officer. This enhanced technical leadership strengthens our capacity to deliver next-generation solutions to both Department of Defense and commercial partners across diverse markets.
