Back at it.
After some time away from serious training, I’m entering a 14-week block with a clear goal. I’ve chosen a race — now I just need a crew. No crew, no race.
Today: 12 x 1 min @ 5:35/mi with 1 min recovery, followed by 12 x 30 sec @ 5:35/mi with 30 sec recovery. Felt completely smooth throughout. Closed the final reps near 5:00/mi pace.
A strong start.
New 5.0. The plan for this first phase: hit peak lifetime power values.
Keeping the Metaspeed edge as the go-to shoe.
So far, so good.
