This graduation season hit different. 🎓

Watching my former intern walk across the stage at WVU wasn’t just proud-mentor energy, it was a full circle moment.

I’ve always wanted to be the person I needed growing up — someone who looked like me showing up and believing in me when I didn’t know how to believe in myself.

What I didn’t expect is how much I’d grow in the process of mentoring.

Mentorship isn’t about creating a replica of yourself. It’s staying present for someone’s journey, wherever it leads.

As an adult, I’ve had plenty of mentors that I’m beyond grateful for. I can’t rewrite time, but it’s hard not to wonder what I could’ve accomplished if I had the support I needed earlier.

If you had a mentor in your life growing up, consider yourself lucky. And if you didn’t? Make a choice to be that person for someone else.

We’re nearing the end of construction on one of our new build projects and I couldn’t wait to see the installed sconces illuminated against the tile — so I used AI to turn the lights on.💡

Before final photography, AI-generated previews help us to plan my angles, identify the money shots, and walk in on shoot day already knowing what shots we want to capture. It cuts hours off an already arduous day.

This is what practical AI use looks like in a design business— not replacing your eye (because AI could never), just giving it a head start and simplifying task to save time.

A few things I love about this space:
→ Wall sconces flanking the window (yes, they’re wet rated and shower-approved)
→ Arabesque tile on the tub wall
→ full height glass panel draws attention to the 10’ ceilings
