QP Manufacturing is seeking a Hydromat Operator for its Chardon, Ohio facility. Experience with either conventional Legacy or Epic Hydromat Rotary Transfer Machines will be considered. QP is growing and we are looking for talented machinists to join us here. As one of the leading production centers in northeast Ohio, we have the capability of manufacturing precision components and assemblies using CNC turning, milling, multi-axis mill turning and other processes. This could be a 1st or 2nd shift position.

Critical Competencies
These are the behaviors expected of the Rotary Transfer Operator
Must be able to perform minor tool offsets.
Must be able to load material.
Must be able to perform inspections.
Must be able to maintain the machine.
Capable of process troubleshooting is a plus.
Must be quality-oriented.

Basic Qualifications- Epic Hydromat Operator
1 year as a rotary transfer operator

Preferred Qualifications
Certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant discipline preferred

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand on feet for an entire shift without extra breaks.
Must be able to lift a max of 30 lbs. repeatedly throughout day on a daily basis

Other:
1st shift hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. 2nd Shift hours are 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Overtime available as schedule demands

Essential Functions and Duties
These are the primary responsibilities for a Maintenance Technician:
Perform highly diversified duties to maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Physical Requirements:
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 75 pounds.

Other:
Must have basic hand tools including (but limited to): wrenches, sockets, ratchets, screwdrivers, etc.
Overtime available as schedule demands
