If you could describe Ambassador Teacher Arrival Orientation using only three emojis... which would you choose? ๐โจ๐
We put a few of our team members to the test and asked them to answer with just three emojis. Their responses captured everything from the excitement of welcoming teachers from around the world to the friendships, celebrations, and unforgettable memories that make Arrival Orientation so special.
Current and former Ambassador Teachers, help us tell the story of Arrival Orientationโthree emojis at a time. Share yours in the comments! ๐โจ

Countless unforgettable welcomes. ๐ฅน๐โ๏ธ
Yesterday was everything we hoped it would be. Smiles, hugs, welcome signs, and the excitement of finally meeting another incredible group of Ambassador Teachers.
Now that everyone's here, the fun is just getting startedโand we can't wait to share everything this week has in store.
Help us welcome the Class of 2031 by sharing where you're cheering them on from in the comments! ๐

It's official: Arrival day is HERE in Washington, D.C.! โ๏ธ๐
Somewhere in the airport right now, our welcome sign is up, our team is buzzing, and we're ready to celebrate every arrival.
As we count down to those first hugs, we're reminiscing on a few airport welcomes from last year's Arrival Orientation. ๐ธ
One by one, Ambassador Teachers will walk through those doors, spot the Participate Learning sign, and realize: this is it. This is the moment they've been waiting for.
Cue the hugs. Cue the happy tears. Cue the "You made it!"
Welcome to the Participate Learning family, Class of 2031. ๐
Arrival Orientation Week Three, let's go! ๐๐

๐ Congratulations to Woodland Elementary Principal Dwayne Johnson on this well-deserved recognition!
As a Global Leaders partner school, Woodland continues to show what's possible when students are given meaningful opportunities to lead, serve, and solve real problems in their community. Through our ongoing partnership, our Global Leaders team has the privilege of working alongside Woodland's educators throughout the school year, regularly visiting the school and watching this culture continue to grow.
Whether it's first graders launching a Socktober drive or fifth graders mentoring younger students, leading announcements, and caring for their campus, students are building communication, empathy, responsibility, and initiative through everyday experiences.
Woodland's story is a wonderful reminder that when leadership becomes part of everyday learning, students develop skills they'll carry with them for a lifetime. ๐๐
In a recent Education NC Perspective feature, Dwayne Johnson (โ20 M.S.A., โ26 Ed.D.), principal of Woodland Elementary School within Person County Schools, shared how his rural school is using global competencies to help students grow as leaders.
As Johnson noted, at Woodland, students practice empathy, communication, curiosity, and service through everyday routines, leadership roles, and community-centered projects. One example is first graders helping launch a Socktober drive that collected more than 1,000 pairs of socks for a local clothing bank โ showcasing how character education can come to life when students are invited to lead and respond to the needs around them.
โThe promise of global education isnโt that students can label a map โ itโs that they can read a moment and respond with empathy, clarity, and courage.โ Learn more from Johnson. https://bit.ly/4vCVzOj
