IREA's ongoing research includes advancements in renewable energy in three facilities across Northern Virginia.

Our original agriculture-based AD research facility is at Fodderwing Farm! This site developed a small-scale system contained in a 20’ x 20’ shed, which leverages the colocation of a working, small farm and a well-equipped laboratory to experiment and rapidly document results in an agricultural setting.
