Camp: Destination

Did you know that every morning at Camp: Destination starts out with a Morning Game? For each date of the week, one co-counselor pairing is assigned to create a game for the entire camp to play to kick off our Daily Fun - and this summer, we've been blown away with the new games which our Camp: Destination Staff have created!

On Thursday, our 6th - 9th Grade Counselors created "Whacks and Moles," a medley of Sharks & Minnows, a Camp: Destination Classic, and the classic Whack-A-Mole Arcade game - a perfect way to celebrate Camp: Destination Lore Week!

Campers ran across the Sosh in "Mole Form," and found themselves burrowed in Mole Holes to have safety from the Whackers! With Pool Noodles & over 60 kids, our campers had an awesome time in this epic new game!

Yesterday was our Final Leadership Day of the summer, meaning it was the final time that our L.I.T.'s took over our camp groups & ran their own programs for our campers!

After some leadership in the Sosh & some leadership in Group Time, we decided to up the level of challenge for our L.I.T.'s in their production of a "Special Rotation," meaning that they had to determine a genre of program & the features which would be included in their 45-Minute Leadership Endeavor.

With Improv in Kindergarten - 2nd Grade, Casino Royale in 3rd - 5th Grade, and two fantastic Art Projects (Pass the Painting & Perspective Artwork) in 6th - 9th Grade, our L.I.T.'s did a phenomenal job leading with creativity, strength, and an open-minded attitude. The enjoyment & excitement of every camper raising their hand to indicate how much fun they had proves just how much of a mark our L.I.T.'s have made on Camp: Destination!
