Reposted • The National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Foundation has made a significant and heartfelt decision to rename our esteemed HBCU Invitational Golf Classic in honor of our late founder, Thomas W. Dortch, Jr. This cherished event will now be known as The Thomas W. Dortch, Jr. HBCU Golf Classic.

Thomas W. Dortch, Jr. was a true pioneer, whose passion and dedication transformed the landscape of HBCUs.

His vision for fostering educational opportunities, mentorship, and career development for HBCU students have left an indelible mark on the community. To preserve his legacy, we have chosen to rename our golf classic in his honor, ensuring that his impact continues to inspire and uplift generations to come.
