Early on in our relationship, I gave Parker (my now husband) an easy out.

We had our first rough night as a couple and I said to him, “look, i’m crazy. My family is crazy. We are a lot to handle. You could easily be with someone simple and kind and easy and be very happy. If that’s what you want, i’m giving you an out now. No hard feelings.”

What he said next shifted our lives forever.

“I want the crazy. I’m in.”

I don’t exactly know how this man is able to handle all this.. all I know is that he can and he does so with grace.

Who would have thought. Calm and chaos seem to go pretty dang well together.
