Ability in Disability

The frustration is REAL when I can't do something as simple as look at clothes in a store. It's moments like this when we become fully aware that the disabled community is an afterthought. I am fortunate that I am able to stretch and reach to an extent, but that didn't last long because of how much pain it caused my body. But the thing is, MANY people would not be able to reach that top rack. Stores want to pack in as much product as possible, but then employees will roll their eyes or moan if you ask for help, and many of us want to be independent and not rely on others.

I'm sure I'm going to receive comments about how I should just shop online, but no.. people with disabilities deserve to shop in stores just as able bodied, people do
