Happy Dragon Boat Festival from CCAI and The Park Adoption Community Center! 🐉🎉

We celebrated today with zongzi, the iconic sticky rice dumplings of this holiday. Made by stuffing glutinous rice with sweet or savory fillings, then wrapping it all tightly in bamboo or reed leaves and steaming or boiling it, zongzi has been a Dragon Boat Festival tradition for generations.

Pictured here are our new Adoptee Youth Program Coordinator, Shali, and our Adoptee Programs Intern, Andy, enjoying this special tradition together!

Wishing you and your family a joyful Dragon Boat Festival, filled with good food, good company, and connection to culture and community. 🛶🍃

Big News: CCAI's Made to Shine Colombia Hosting Program Launches Soon! 🎉💛

Mark your calendars — child profiles release next week!
Children without parents often struggle with low self-esteem, emotional difficulties, and challenges in forming meaningful relationships. They're also more vulnerable to violence, exploitation, and trafficking — and are five times more likely to die by su***de.

Hosting changes that story.
Five weeks of safety, security, and love can give a child hope — and dramatically increase their chances of finding a forever family.

Thousands of children in Colombia are eligible for adoption, and most are between 12 and 18 years old. The older a child gets, the harder it becomes to find them a family. Hosting can change that.

Just ask the Scott family. Hosting broke them and remade them — filling them with heartache, joy, and laughter.

📖 Read the Scotts' story → https://ccaifamily.org/when-love-changes-a-family/
🌟 Learn more about hosting → https://ccaifamily.org/colombia-hosting-program/

Keep an eye on our page next week — that's when you'll meet the children waiting for a host family this season. Could it be you?
