Geocal, Inc. is a professional services engineering firm established in 1989 providing expertise in geotechnical engineering, construction management, inspection and testing services. In our 30+ years of operation, we have completed over 6,000 projects in Colorado and the western United States. Our projects are primarily associated with infrastructure and transportation design and construction for states, counties, cities, and other municipalities. We are a Colorado-based company with our corporate office in Centennial and two branch offices in Colorado Springs and Loveland, Colorado. Geocal currently employs professional engineers, engineering interns, geologists, construction managers, inspectors, technicians and laboratory staff.

We are experiencing growth and are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to help establish and manage our Oklahoma operation. The candidate can be stationed in either Oklahoma City or Tulsa. General Requirements are as follows:

-8+ years of progressive experience in geotechnical explorations and construction observation and testing
-Extensive experience in Oklahoma/Texas Transportation Sector projects
-Ability & ambition to manage Geocal’s Oklahoma operation
-Experience establishing and nurturing client relationships
-Strong technical expertise in geotechnical analyses specifically in slope stability, seepage analyses, settlement, retaining walls, shallow and deep foundations are required.
-Managing and completing geotechnical project delivery, report writing, analyses etc.
-Earthwork, foundation, and construction materials observation and testing.

Education/Certifications:
-Oklahoma Registered Professional Engineer license
-BS/MS in Civil Engineering with geotechnical engineering emphasis.

Skills & Responsibilities needed:
-Develop advanced business skills, including developing new clients and supporting growth of the company in Oklahoma.
-Strong potential to be an emerging authority in a marketable specialty
-Strong analytical and leadership skills
-Exceptional oral and written abilities
-Proven organizational skills
-Self-Starter

We are experiencing growth in all three offices and we are looking for Sr. Geotechnical Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to perform work on wide variety of challenging projects and develop advanced technical and business skills. This is a full-time position with competitive wages.

General Requirements:

-Willing to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, evenings, and/or weekends.
-Must have a good driving record as many positions include travel and driving a company vehicle.
-Valid driver’s license -Clear MVR
-Ability to work independently with a stakeholder mentality, which requires self-motivation and self-direction
– Performing field and laboratory tests for concrete, soils and asphalt

Preferred Education/ Certifications:

•WAQTC • ACI Certified Field I Testing Technician • ACI Strength Testing • Hazmat Safety • Nuke Gauge Safety • WAQTC Certified

Required Skills & Responsibilities:

-Ability to read and understand data and document collected information.
-Must have professional communication skills.
-This position requires working in the field and testing in the lab. Successful candidates will be performing field and laboratory tests for concrete, soils and asphalt.
-Experience in construction materials testing and documentation, laboratory testing, or individuals with engineering degrees in civil or geotechnical fields is a plus.
