Hey, Chargers! We hope you're having a wonderful summer and finding time to relax, explore, and make memories together. While school is out, summer is also a great opportunity to help students keep their reading skills sharp and build a lifelong love of learning.

Here are a few simple ways to encourage reading this summer:
📚 Join the Cedar Springs Library Summer Reading Program:

📖 Set aside 15–20 minutes each day for reading.

🚗 Listen to audiobooks during road trips, errands, or family adventures.

🏛️ Make a weekly trip to the library and let your child choose books that interest them.

✏️ Encourage students to keep a reading journal, draw pictures about what they read, or share their favorite stories with family members.

Remember—reading doesn't have to mean chapter books! Magazines, graphic novels, recipe books, sports articles, and audiobooks all help build literacy skills.
