Have you ever wanted to sing with the Orchestra? Audition to join the Symphonic Chorus for our performance of Bach's St. Matthew Passion.

Audition Details:

August 22 from 10 am-3 pm
August 31 from 10 am- 7 pm
September 13 from 10 am- 3 pm
October 11 from 10 am- 3 pm

*All auditions will take place at the Orchestra Iowa Building located at 119 Third Ave SE in Cedar Rapids.

*St. Matthew Passion will be performed at Masterworks IV on March 12 in Cedar Rapids and March 14 in Iowa City. You must be able to make BOTH performances.

*Due to the complexity of the choral work in St. Matthew Passion EVERYONE must audition, even current members of the Symphonic Chorus.

*All questions about auditions and joining the chorus should be emailed to [email protected]. Including if you are unable to make one of the schedule audition dates and wish to set an alternate time.

*Looking to join the chorus but not available in March? You're still welcome to audition! We have a number of other Chorus performance this year, including Brucemorchestra (Aug. 29), Holiday Spectacular (Dec. 19 & 20), and Masterworks VI (May 8 & 9).

The Orchestra Iowa Symphonic Chorus is a volunteer group of talented local vocalist who love sharing the gift of music with their community.

The Orchestra Iowa Ticket and Administrative Offices will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in observance of Independence Day. The Offices will reopen on Tuesday, July 7th for normal business hours.
