Sorry for the bad news, but Korrina Dawson has passed away. Many of you know her from ReAlive, we even had the drum circle and discussion part of one of our music festivals at ReAlive when it was in Marion. The store moved across town to a newer building and Korrina herself has now moved to a better place as well.

If anyone is needing help, please let us know. Now that most roads are clear it is easier to get help out and we do have some supplies.

As we won’t be meeting in person for awhile, but spring is beginning, feel free to reply to this post with how you are celebrating spring while social distancing. I am taking care of the seeds I started indoors.

With coronavirus looking inevitable (at least 12 cases in Iowa City already), and with a number of us with underlying conditions that could make it worse, we are looking into options to temporarily hold meetings virtually. More details will be posted soon.

Sorry folks, we may not be meeting tonight due to illness and tiredness and such. Haven’t heard that anyone is able to make it, but feel free to post here if you are able to meet tonight and maybe some others will too.

Per our winter weather policy, with the schools closed today, we will not be having coffee social this week. Sorry coffee lovers. See you next week.

Just a heads up, it sounds like we will not be meeting tonight. One regular is injured, two are out of town, some are working or otherwise busy. We didn’t want new people to show up and wonder where we were, so I am posting here and reaching out to those who reached out to us recently. Sorry for the inconvenience. Next week we will try to be uninjured, healthy, and available.

If anyone is short on Yule/Christmas presents for their children this year and short on funds, please reach out. We don’t have much, but have a handful of new toys in a Rubbermaid tub.

Coffee social tonight at 6. Via Sofia’s is running a special with pasta dinner purchases Thursdays in October too. Free scoop of ice cream with pasta dinner purchase. That’s a lot of food, so come hungry if you are getting that.

It is September so we are back at Via Sofia’s on 1st Ave, Thursday nights at 6pm. We will generally be sitting at one of the round tables, until our numbers build back up to large enough ones to need to reserve the room.
