Eastern Iowa FCA
We caught up with Barron to hear what he's been seeing at Pella Sports Camp. 🤍
One thing that stood out to him was the power of community—walking alongside one another, bearing each other's burdens, and pointing each other back to Jesus.
Christ never designed us to do life alone. There's strength in having brothers and sisters in Christ who will encourage you, pray with you, and remind you of God's truth.
Community matters. 🙌
We're still reliving all the incredible moments from E3 Camp.
If there's one message that continues to echo long after camp has ended, it's this...
Jesus won. 🙌
Because He won, we have hope. Because He won, we have freedom. Because He won, our lives can be forever changed.
We're praying these campers continue to walk boldly in their faith and carry what they experienced at E3 into their schools, teams, and communities.

✨Proving Our Strength
Don’t tell God how big your giants are… tell your giants how big your God is!
We can all struggle proving we are strong enough. This may be the very message we are receiving from others and/or from ourselves. But as followers of Christ, what if we changed the lens through which we look and instead of trying to prove our strength, we became living proof of God’s strength?
The story of David defeating Goliath reminds us that we all face giants, but we defeat our giants not through our strength, but by trusting in God’s strength.
"David said to Saul, ‘Don’t let anyone be discouraged by him; your servant will go and fight this Philistine … The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.’" — 1 Samuel 17:32, 37
"David said to the Philistine, ‘You come against me with a sword, spear, and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord of Armies, the God of the ranks of Israel—you have defied Him. Today, the Lord will hand you over to me.’" — 1 Samuel 17:45–46
When we look at our struggles, the broken world around us and the giants in our lives, we can view them through the lens of self, who can be weak, small and fearful, or through the lens of the living God, who is strong, big and all-powerful.
May our focus not be on the giants in front of us but the living God who died, rose and dwells inside of us … that is proven strength.
💙 Live It Out
"Remain in me, and I in you. Just as a branch is unable to produce fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, neither can you unless you remain in me." — John 15:4
Question for Reflection
• Have you been focusing on the size of your problem, or the size of your God?
