The Summer Reading Challenge is here!

Celebrate the love of reading all summer long with the library’s Summer Reading Challenge! Just read 600 minutes this summer – at least 10 minutes a day – to earn free books and special prizes. The Summer Reading Challenge starts Saturday, June 6 and runs through August 8.

All are invited to the Summer Reading Kickoff at Ladd Library on Saturday, June 6 from 10 am-noon! Enjoy an inflatable obstacle course, giant Jenga, giant Connect Four, giant Bananagrams and other activities. This program is generously supported by TrueNorth.

How to participate in the Summer Reading Challenge:

- Pick up your free Summer Reading snack tote and paper reading logs at the library. You can also choose to use the Beanstack app to track your reading instead of paper logs.
- When you reach 300 minutes, visit the library for a free book! Claim books in person at the library through August.
- When you reach 600 minutes, claim a prize AND get an entry for the grand prize drawing.
- Keep reading! You can complete the challenge as many times as you want until Aug. 8. Each time you read 600 minutes, you’ll receive another grand prize drawing entry. Finish the challenge multiple times to increase your chances of winning!
- Entry tickets must be returned by Aug. 8 to be eligible for the grand prize drawing. There is no need to return entry tickets if logging reading on Beanstack.

The Summer Reading Challenge is for everyone! We have prizes and programs for kids, teens, and adults.
