Cedar Key Airport

The George T. Lewis Cedar Key Airport (KCDK) will be closed (NOTAM) starting tomorrow August 17th until October 17th 2020. This is for rehabilitative maintenance for the airfield. We'll see you again in autumn! 🌴

Shout out to the Southeast Regional Chapter of the International Cessna 180/185 club! They flew into KCDK last month with around 30 aircraft and we loved hosting them for the weekend. Come bring your own winged-club to explore the island; enjoy a fun airfield, amazing seafood, unique art galleries, and true Gulf-coast style!

Ready for some island time this weekend? If you are a non-aviator visiting the Cedar Key Airport we would just like to make a friendly reminder not to enter the airport environment (fenced area including: ramp, runway, and especially the grass/marsh at both ends of the runway). It is extremely dangerous for both air and ground traffic, even if it appears there is no one else around. Enjoy the space behind the cul-de-sac to the side of the runway for amazing sunset views or use the wood benches outside the fence for some plane spotting! 🌴🛩️
