As this rain never seems to stop, we want to take this time to address flooding. Flooding is NOT covered under any home policy. You have to have a flood policy through FEMA to cover flooding. The definition of flooding is the water touching the soil before coming into the home. So if a window well fills up with water and water leaks in, that is not covered. If hail breaks out a window and the water comes in through the broken window without touching the soil, that is covered.
