Natrona County Fire District

Three Firefighters from Natrona County Fire District on Engine 133 returned home today after a 14 day Wildland Deployment to the Gold Mountain Fire in Ouray, Colorado. The crew conducted many different operations throughout this fire with Structure Protection and Holding Strategic Burning Operations being the highlights. Deploying Firefighters to Federal Wildland Fires gives them the opportunity to gain valuable experience and support to communities in need. NCFD maintained normal staffing and responses to the community of Natrona County throughout this deployment. NCFD would also like to offer condolences to the family, friends, and crew of the Pilot who lost his life while conducting Fire suppression operations on this incident.

Natrona County Fire District would like to announce the addition of two new firefighters to our department. Please welcome Firefighter Blake Turrentine and Firefighter Chris Nichols to the District.

Please congratulate and wish them best of luck as they begin their year long Probationary Period. A challenging but rewarding time where they will earn their spot on the department.
