Summer has officially arrived in The Cowboy State and with it comes the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo in .casper .

Held at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds, the CWFR is set for July 7-15, 2023. A Wyoming tradition for more than 75 years, it includes nine days of kick-up-your-heels fun. Festivities include PRCA rodeo action (July 11-15), a carnival and midway games, fiddle championships, Sea Lion Splash (July 11-15) and the Central Wyoming Fair & Rodeo Parade (July 11).

In addition to the CWFR, make a long weekend or getaway out of it.

Additional highlights and things to do include visiting the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center, hiking on Casper Mountain, shopping in downtown Casper, dining at one of the mountain town’s 193 restaurants and sipping on local craft beverages.

If you’re looking to get away close to home in Wyoming, make plans to head to Casper for the CWFR!

Although they may seem relaxed, bison have often been referred to as the most ferocious mammal in North America!

As both cow and bulls have horns and can run up to 35MPH, keeping a minimum distance of 100 yards is strongly encouraged!
