So I don't post too often about particular products we use in our Riverstone unless someone happens to have an issue.... Well it's Christmas Day and I am going to post about this product that we use.... https://www.micro-air.com/products_easytouch_rv_thermostat_touchscreen.cfm
As you know, we're dealing with sub zero temps and today we had an issue with our furnace all of a sudden running rampant. Our aftermarket thermostat by Micro-Air was showing the inside temp to be 32 degrees and wouldn't shut the furnace off. We did all the normal resets, hard resets, etc... I sent off an email to Micro-Air just letting them know we had an issue and not expecting a response until sometime later in the week. Within 30 minutes of me sending the email on Christmas day, Micro Aire was in contact with us trying to diagnose the issue. It turns out the thermostat is fine; but that one of the remote sensors in our heat pump is faulty. What an amazing company and I want to give them a shout out for their great products in Thermostats and Soft Starts. You cannot beat customer service like this. I'm going to crosspost this to both groups. And I want to give a particular shout out to Roger with Micro-Air for walking us through this on today in particular. Merry Christmas everyone....

So as many of you know, Diane Simpson Faris and I have embarked on our dream for awhile....traveling the breadth and width of our beautiful country enjoying all she has to offer. We're currently in Las Vegas headed to Caldwell, Idaho later this week for the West Coast Heavy Duty Truck Rally where 37 of these type rigs will be assembled. We're having a blast! This is our rig, so if you see us on the road, give a shout out!

So what does one do when they're locked down, isolated, and unable to head for the wilderness? Buy foam golf balls and a chipping net and get outside and play.... LoL... teaching Diane how to chip requires a slight amount of patience on my part but has been a lot of fun 😉

Y'all be safe and enjoy yourself as best you can 🤟

Well it was a long week this past week, aside from the personal issues that we had to deal with ... it was truck investment week! When you are a serious rv'er with an extremely heavy trailer .... there are a lot of maintenance items that have to be done on your tow vehicle. So for us this week it was 6 new Michelin Agilis Cross Climate tires (Michelin's newest heavy duty all weather tire), a complete new front end suspension rebuild that included tie rods, tie rod ends, drag link, trak bars, bushings, etc... fuel filter, power steering flush, brake fluid flush, a new pinion seal and yoke that was leaking on the front pinion, and a complete set of Power Stop brakes with four new drilled and slotted rotors along with new ceramic pads which gives us about 30% more stopping power). Some $5,500 dollars later, we're about ready to get this show back on the road. I will say the truck does drive again as if it's brand new.
