Odessa (Ukrainian Odessa [ɔˈdɛsɐ]) is a city in the south of Ukraine in the Northern Black Sea region, the administrative center of the Odessa region and Odessa district. The main naval base of the Ukrainian Navy. Hero city.

The third most populous city in Ukraine. The population as of January 1, 2022 was 1,010,537[8] people; over 1.2 million people live within the agglomeration. Located on the shore of the Odessa Bay.

Large sea trading port. Tourism and trade, industry (metalworking and mechanical engineering, production of medicines and food products) are developed. Large scientific and educational center.

Frankfurt, a central German city on the river Main, is a major financial hub that's home to the European Central Bank. It's the birthplace of famed writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, whose former home is now the Goethe House Museum. Like much of the city, it was damaged during World War II and later rebuilt. The reconstructed Altstadt (Old Town) is the site of Römerberg, a square that hosts an annual Christmas market
