Please join us in Prayer for Eli

This is the ministry that we recently partnered with this past week.

THE COMPASS family!

As many of you have probably heard, our 13 yr old Eli Brigham is in the ICU at Providence hospital. Eli developed meningitis (inflammation/infection on the brain). He is making forward progress (thank you Jesus) and is a fighter but has a long road ahead. His vitals are good and he is responsive and saying a few words but his speech and motor skills on his left side are diminished because of the pressure from the infection on his brain. Please pray that the antibiotics would fight the infection and reduce the pressure without needing surgery. 🙏🏻

If you have encouraging things to tell Eli, comment below and we’ll read them to him. Or feel free to send cards or drop cards off at The Compass for him.

We love you all and are so thankful for all the prayers and support. God is good and is faithful on both the mountain tops and in the valley and we are trying our best to trust God to give us strength and help us through this…but this is really stinkin’ hard! So please pray for me (Todd) and Emily, Braden, and Josie as well.

Isaiah 41:10: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Day 6 & 7-
This trip ended with a day of exploring parts of Alaska. The team went for a hike to the Russian Falls and visited the Russian Orthodox Church. The kids enjoyed a game of ’ninja’ while waiting for the hike to begin. The team made the 5.2 mile hike in total and enjoyed lunch at the falls. There were many moose sightings on the drive and by the end of the trip everyone had at least seen one moose.
In the evening, everyone gathered back at the Compass to say goodbyes to the locals and to enjoy the view of the finished mural. The night ended with lots of packing and cleaning in preparation for morning. The team left Nikiski, Alaska before 5am the next day. After the long drive, a short layover, and two flights everyone made it home safely.
