Did a total replacement parts on a 3” 375, which was long overdue but ultimately had to replace the RV cover plate as well. The next day I got a call for 6” 375ASTR with the same issue so I had to drive up to Phx and get the same part I had picked up the day before. 🙄
I recently installed a backflow at an old building that never had one. I used a 3/4” 009 only because I was trying to meet his budget. After install I made sure I flushed it out first and, as often happens, I had to bleed off the #2 check before it finally held pressure. 2 weeks later he called to say it was dripping and I went to clean it out but the #2 check wouldn’t hold. I took it apart and found the internal seat ring was missing. Luckily I had one I could use but this was a brand new unit. I’ve heard complaints about quality control and I’m beginning to notice.

Ran into this setup yesterday and I thought I took a photo showing the complete cage from a distance but anyway it is so precisely fit and had no lock but looks so secure that no one would bother with it. The box can be easily removed and set in place with tabs that fall into the slots cut in top of the frame. Even with Shark Bites it’s an impressive setup. 👍🏼All painted to match the block fence.
