Did you know that honey bees have 5 eyes? πŸ‘€ you can see the three secret eyes on the queen pretty clearly here! They are in a triangle formation on the top of heat head. Do you see them? These simple eyes help bees to navigate using the sun. 🌞

As Dandelions start to flower, please remember they are a valuable early food source for honey bees and other pollinators.
Maybe change to thinking of them as a plant and not a w**d.

Non-beekeepers are sometimes surprised by the wide-range of local honey available. Local honey can vary in colour from almost white to dark amber. It can be runny, gel-like, soft set or granulated. Granulation is not a sign it has 'gone off' and gentle warming can quickly restore honey to liquid. Colour, flavour, odour and granulation all vary with the floral source of the nectar that the bees bring home. Honey can also come in the comb, in sections or with chunks in jars.
Enjoy the diversity.
