Before we touched a single wall, we brought in an industrial dryer to eliminate all moisture from the surface. Then we sanded and scraped every inch of peeling paint down to bare surface. Premium primer went on next, top-grade, nothing cheap. We applied mesh tape and specialty drywall compound for a flawless base. Finally, moisture-resistant, water-repellent paint built specifically for wet areas.
