Josie has been a great dog for our family. She has a strong herding instinct that would make her a great addition on a farm. Josie loves to chase animals on our property and especially likes to go after squirrels. She will sit for hours waiting for the possibility of a squirrel coming down that she saw go up the very same tree. Josie is a long-haired border collie, and we have her bloodline paperwork if you are interested in that type of detail. Currently, Josie is free to roam on our property, and she has a Halo dog collar, which uses GPS data for fencing.
Does the dog have any medical issues? No
Does the dog have any history of aggression, such as growling, lunging, snapping, or biting any adult or child? Yes, she has nipped at people, not out of aggression, but out of her herding instinct.
Does the dog have any history of aggression toward other animals? No
Regarding fit with children: Josie has been very gentle with kids, and nothing has happened with any children. It is our personal preference that, due to her strong herding instincts, we want to prevent that possibility.
Reason for re-homing? We have young grandchildren now, and out of an abundance of caution, we feel like it is best that we re-home Josie to a new home.

Josie is located in Freemont, NC. For more information, contact Bryant at [email protected] or 252-245-6899.
