Toward Zero Waste helps support the SHARE program in many schools in Wake County.

They are asking the NC Department of Public Instruction (NC DPI) and the NC Department of Health and Human Services (NC DHHS) to update their guidelines to support schools with guidance to safely collect unopened dairy items, such as milk and yogurt, on sharing tables. Other states, like South Carolina and Virginia, have already done this successfully.

School Board meeting tomorrow Night!
On Tuesday, April 21 starting at 5:30pm, the school board will hold a public hearing to discuss the proposed budget for 26-27.
