A great day for a parade!

Thank you to Carthage Illinois Area Chamber for always putting on a great parade for the community!

10 years of kickball, camaraderie, and unforgettable memories!

What started as a fun summer tradition has grown into a milestone worth celebrating. This year marked the 10th Annual Intern Kickball Tournament, proudly hosted by Zoetis, bringing together interns for an afternoon of friendly competition, teamwork, and plenty of laughs.

While the games are always exciting, this event is about so much more than kickball. It's an opportunity to build relationships, strengthen connections across the industry, and create experiences that leave a lasting impact on the next generation of leaders.

A huge thank you to Zoetis for making this event possible year after year and for investing in the future of our industry. Congratulations on 10 incredible years. Here's to continuing the tradition for many more summers to come!

Carthage Veterinary Service is excited to welcome Dr. Kristen Cleaver back to the organization as a veterinarian.

Originally from Summitville, Indiana, Dr. Cleaver grew up on her family's beef cattle operation, where her passion for animal agriculture first began. She earned her bachelor's degree in animal sciences from Purdue University in 2021. During her time there, she served as an Animal Science Ambassador and gained her first experience working with swine through heat stress research projects.

Dr. Cleaver's relationship with Carthage began during her undergraduate years when she interned with the organization. She continued returning for additional internships throughout veterinary school, gaining hands-on experience alongside the Carthage team while further developing her interest in swine medicine.

Following graduation from Purdue, Dr. Cleaver joined Carthage Innovative Swine Solutions before pursuing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. While in veterinary school, she focused on swine medicine and graduated in 2026.

Now, she's returning to a familiar team, this time as a veterinarian with Carthage Veterinary Service.

"Coming back to Carthage feels like coming home," said Dr. Cleaver. "Having the opportunity to intern with the team throughout both undergrad and veterinary school gave me an incredible foundation and confirmed this was where I wanted to build my career. I'm excited to continue learning, work alongside people I admire, serve producers, and see where this next chapter takes me."

Outside of work, Dr. Cleaver enjoys spending time outdoors, golfing, camping, traveling, and trying new foods. She recently returned from a trip to Japan and also enjoys reading, cooking, staying active at the gym, and spending time with her black cat, Clover, whom she adopted during veterinary school.
