Running for Can't Drive 55 at the Grand. I think I finally figured this console out where I can start to dance on it rather than just make it work.

It's been three years since one of my mentors brought me out to this club, it had a slightly different name then. He was running FOH for an artist named Lilly Rose and we walked into a mess. Almost no house mics, and half the amps were blown for the PA. The band had an IEM rig and mics so covering them was lucky easy enough despite the PA struggling to keep up with the crowd. But there were two opening acts that were acoustic and with just enough equipment to get them going I was handed the console. Since then I've gotten to mix every kind of band on all but a few consoles, run musicals, corporate events, and have a studio where I put out some really cool music. But everything kinda came back around tonight because in the same venue with the same nearly shot PA, almost no house mics so I brought my own, I am mixing and was able to hand the console over to my own apprentice for the opening act.
