The Gateway School is happy to present our award recipients for our June Students of the Month! This month, our students focused on exemplifying the character trait EMPATHY. Empathy means having the ability to understand and share the feelings of another person. Our students practiced empathy by giving their friend a hug when they feel upset, by listening to their friends when they talk about their feelings, by participating in counseling sessions to better understand their own feelings, and by doing nice things for others when they know it will make them feel better. We are so proud to end the 2025-2026 school year with some wonderful examples of empathy in our building. Congratulations to our June SOM Gators! 🐊 🏅
