Over the past 15 months, Nevada State Parks has worked with partners, stakeholders, and the public to develop a draft master plan for Spooner Lake and Backcountry State Park.

A master plan serves as the long-term vision for a state park, helping guide future improvements, recreation opportunities, conservation efforts, and visitor experiences.

If you love hiking, biking, skiing, or just enjoy spending time at this park, we want you to review the draft Master Plan and share your feedback before 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, July 19.

Here's to another successful year at Nevada Youth Range Camp!

This year marked the 65th annual camp, continuing a long tradition of hands-on learning, leadership building, and rangeland stewardship. Our campers spent the week diving into plant identification, wildlife discussions, fieldwork, and team projects.

A huge thanks to our partners, instructors, and volunteers who make this incredible program possible. Youth Range Camp continues to inspire the next generation of land stewards, scientists, and resource managers.

Here’s to a fantastic 65th year of Youth Range Camp with many more to come!
