🚨Alert ! Scam! Fraud! Don’t fall for this Gimmick!!

We’ve seen a LOT of these pop-up screens lately, and we want to help keep our customers safe!

If your computer suddenly displays a warning claiming your device is infected and tells you to call a phone number immediately, DO NOT CALL IT.

❌ Microsoft does not display phone numbers in security alerts and ask you to call them.
❌ Legitimate Windows security warnings do not lock your screen and demand that you contact “support.”
❌ These pop-ups are designed to scare you into giving scammers access to your computer and personal information.

✅ If you see a screen like the one pictured:
• Do not call the number.
• Do not give anyone remote access to your computer.
• Close the browser if possible (Ctrl + Alt + Delete can help if it’s frozen).
• If you’re unsure, give Hayes Computers a call instead!

We’d much rather answer a quick question than see someone lose money or personal information to a scam.
