UP FOR ADOPTION! 📍 Davis/Vacaville/Fairfield Herald | 8 mo | 39 lbs Hi there, I’m Herald! I might not be able to see or hear the world, but I have a massive zest for life and an incredible sense of adventure. I am a sweet, smart, energetic "cuddle bear" looking for a family to be my seeing-eye guide. I map out new spaces quickly with my excellent sniffer skills, and once I feel safe, I’m a total velcro pup who loves crawling right into your lap. I LOVE other dogs and absolutely need a confident canine sibling in my forever home to help me burn off my puppy energy. We can play tug-of-war, zoom around, and wrestle. I don't have an off-button yet (I'm a puppy after after all!) and have zero resource guarding issues! I’m fully house-trained and even ring a bell by the door when I need to go. Because I can't see or hear, vocalizing is my primary way to communicate. I have a big, loud bark when I'm excited or unsure, but with a patient family and professional training tailored to my special needs (for example touch commands), I know I can learn when I'm safe. I don't bark for barking's sake though. I have some experiences from my past and panic in a closed crate, so I’d much prefer sleeping through the night right next to my humans (which I do well). I’m great with people, though I can still be a bit puppy-mouthy and jumpy when excited, so older kiddos are best. I walk well in new places, but pull a bit once I’m comfortable or want to play. Car rides used to scare me, but I'm learning to hop right in on my own now. I don’t shed, I tolerate my baths, and I am so ready to find a dedicated family to explore the world with. Suki came to us about two months ago. We put her on a quality food diet to help her take some weight off and relieve some joint pressure. We addressed her ear and skin issues. And today, she was placed in a loving forever home. When we take in a pup, we make the commitment that your life will be so much better moving forward. So happy that Suki now has a loving family to call her own.

Coming to us on Friday is this 5-6 pound, 6 year old little gal. She is spayed and all shots are current. I believe she is a Shih Tzu mix. She loves children. Look for more info in the coming weeks.
