The Pandas Docs
There is no one size fits all treatment for PANS and PANDAS.
Low dose naltrexone can be a helpful part of care for some patients, but every child requires an individualized approach based on their symptoms, age, and overall health.
Sometimes the symptom you’re seeing isn’t the root issue.
In PANS and PANDAS, constipation, urinary frequency, accidents, or even retention can all be part of a bigger nervous system picture.
When the body is stuck in fight-or-flight, digestion can slow down, and that can create a ripple effect throughout the body.
It’s one more reminder that these children need to be looked at as a whole, not one symptom at a time.
