I was amazed at the variety of pine on the trail. One of my favourites may not have been a pine at all. Instead the Sierra Juniper. Seen here it’s shaggy bark contrasted with the ubiquitous white boulders.

Calling all Huggers
I was fascinated by the variety and beauty of the pine on my hike. I have a lot to learn about them, but they were a constant companion, and source of joy.
