A Thanksgiving with no Pumpkin Pie and Turkey?! Hard to imagine!🍽 The holiday dates back to Plymouth Colony in Massachusetts, in 1621, where pilgrims and the Wampanoag Native American tribe joined together to feast. This feast supposedly consisted of “freshly killed deer, assorted wildfowl, a bounty of cod and bass, and flint, a native variety of corn harvested by the Native Americans, which was eaten as corn bread and porridge.” This traditional way of cooking food is still prepared in the Blue Zones by people who live a full decade longer than us!
