A little different topic from the usual kata based online workshop.
Why? Because how to teach and develop sparring has been a particular point of interest when teaching GKCollege classes to other instructors and dojo owners around the world.
Sparring can be particularly intimidating to less experienced students (and to experienced practitioners for that matter), while also being a challenge to teach.
In this workshop we will show pedagogical strategies and numerous drills to introduce and conduct sparring in the dojo, in a safe, progressive, and dare I say, fun way.
Whether you are interested in your own personal sparring development, or if you are a teacher interested in improving teaching skills (or simply curious about other teaching methods) then this workshop is for you.

Referred to as awase-zuki (合わせ突き), or morote-zuki.(諸手突き). Awase zuki means combined punch whereas morote zuki means both hands/double punch.
