Been busy the last few yrs doing the homeowners (on 3 acres) thing and not much grinding of ports.

Did finally collect all the part to build one of these dinosaurs.

Been wanting one for yrs.

Grafting on this very rare Second Effort Hi Perf gear case.
Actually intended for a 6 but I got it to fit and should be fine if I’m careful.

A personal project and one I've always wanted to do.

To me, and the type boating we like to do (get on Friday, get off Sunday, after going somewhere different every time), a Cuddy Cabin is the perfect boat.
A fast one....., just makes life right.

We've owned, restored, repowered two 24' Sonic twin O/Bs and absolutely loved what we could do w/them.

I always wanted a twin O/B mid '80's 25' Checkmate Convincor and just bought one.
Checkmate built most as single I/Os but did build a few twin O/Bs but they deleted the sun lounges to make from for a splash well.

For us that's bad cuz we want that sun lounge for storage.
In there we will store our:

2 fold up bikes
Beach chairs
Beach table
Beach grill
Cooler
$40 Walmart inflatable dinghy
2 anchors
Etc

So the answer is, find a clean I/O boat w/a scattered motor (making it affordable) and convert it.
You off load the I/O stuff to collect seed money for the conversion.

Here is the donor.

I'll either build (fiberglass) or have built (aluminum) an integrated swim platform/motor bracket.
Another bonus of this method is we get a swim platform.

At dock/anchor, we spend all our time between the sun lounge and swim platform.

A customers basser gets a face lift. New carpet and a step (w/storage) up to the front deck. The step will get wrapped in carpet matching the rest.
