Temperatures will be nearing 100° this week. We've already seen some record highs this past week. Please keep an eye on your pets and people. By law in Texas, you are outside animals must have access to shade to escape the heat and drinkable, clean water. Please take caution when you walk your dogs. Try to schedule a walk early in the morning or after the sun has set. Remember, pavement retains heat even after the sun is gone, so double-check it's not too hot for their paws. And never leave your pets in a car while you run in "just real quick." And leaving the window cracked does nothing to affect the temperature inside the car.

“Will dinner still be served at the correct time after the time change?!”

Rest assured, we hear you loud and clear. Our inbox is overflowing with polite (and not-so-polite) reminders that dinner is not negotiable—even if the clocks fall back.

So, to all the humans out there: your dog doesn’t care what the clock says. Their stomach runs on real time. Please adjust accordingly.
